Rice Lake is the largest city in Barron County with a population of 8,500. Rice Lake is the cultural, medical and shopping hub for the region with much to offer in natural beauty and outdoor activities.
The RLPL prides itself on its progressive approach to community engagement and services and is a leader in programming for families and children. As a member of the MORE consortium, RLPL patrons have access to materials from more than 50 libraries.
We are seeking a fun, energetic candidate that possesses relevant practical experience and a solid foundation in librarianship, who is interested in providing top notch customer service, engaging with our community members and leading our library into the future.
The qualified candidate for the Rice Lake Public Library Director will have 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in library services and management. An MLS from an ALA accredited university is required and the candidate will be eligible for a grade 1 Library Certification. Salary range is $55,000 – $65,000 depending on qualifications.
