Connecting community, resources and you.  Join us for an open house featuring all participating programs in the RLPL Connects drop in sessions held each month through December to learn more about their services, eat a little food, and connect with the people of your community.

  This is a great way to get your questions answered by experts from the following programs who meet monthly at RLPL:

Disability Resources@Your Library  at TheRLPL the  1st Wednesday of each month through -December

Gretchen Cunningham, Disability Benefit Specialist from the Barron County office of the ADRC of Barron, Rusk, and Washburn Counties will be available at the Rice Lake Public Library on the 2nd Mondayof each month from 1:00 pm – 3:00pm to provide information on and answer questions about how to apply for disability benefits for adults, what criteria is used to determine if an individual meets the adult disability requirements, how to find resources for prescriptions for individuals who don’t have medical coverage, how to apply for Medicaid for adults with disabilities, and related information.

Get (and Keep!) a Job  at TheRLPL on  the 2nd Mondayof each month through -December  

Join Kelly Just of Barron County Job Center to learn more about how to find work, write your resume and cover letter, interview, and keep a job once you have it!

Working Adults-Go Back to School!  at TheRLPL on  the 3rd Wednesdayof each month through -December 

Join Jim Dzimiela of Educational Opportunities Center as he helps you find out more about how to back to school, whether you qualify for and how to apply for financial assistance, and how to find the right program for you!
