Our turkey contest winner (by random drawing was Christine) and the turkey was picked up so fast we didn’t get a picture! Hope it was a wonderful feast. I’m going to put a few of our contest entries here. Thank you to all who entered.

The most significant Thanksgiving was a long time ago. Being a single parent, there were times I spent holidays alone. One was a certain Thanksgiving. So I decided NOT to be alone that day and invited anyone I knew who would have had nowhere to go that day. What I received that day was far more than what I gave!
Some Recipes —
1 -15 oz Can Pumpkin
1 – 12 oz Can Evaporated Milk
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Combine above ingredients and pour into greased 9 x 13 pan.
1 Yellow cake mix
1 cup melted butter
Sprinkle dry cake mix on top of pumpkin mixture adn pour melted button top. Do not mix. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 mins. When cool, loosen pumpkin crunch from side of pan with a knife. Invert pan onto platter (the top becomes the crust) Top with sweetened cream cheese or whipped cream.
1 1/2 to 2 Cups Cranberries
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
2 to 3 TB Butter
1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 unbaked pie shell
Spread cranberries in pie shell. Sprinkle with the nuts and brown sugar. In a bowl — beat eggs until thick. Add sugar beating until blended. Add Flour and Butter. Beat well. Pour over cranberries. Place in 325 oven for 45 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whipping cream.
