RLPL Connects

RLPL Connects- Each Month  from 1pm-3pm, the Rice Lake Public Library will host resource organizations on the following days to serve you.

Drop-In programs will be hosted by:

1st Wednesday of each month:  Disability Resources-Find out if you’re eligible and how to apply.

2nd Monday of each month: Workforce Resource-Job services will help you find and keep a job

3rd Wednesday of each month:  Educational Opportunities-Learn how you can go back to school

4th Wednesday of each month: NAMI-The National Alliance on Mental Illness- Get help and support for you or your family member Cookies and coffee will be served.

Disability Resources@Your Library  1st Wednesday,  September -December

Gretchen Cunningham, Disability Benefit Specialist from the Barron County office of the ADRC of Barron, Rusk, and Washburn Counties will be available at the Rice Lake Public Library on the 2nd Mondayof each month from 1:00 pm – 3:00pm to provide information on and answer questions about how to apply for disability benefits for adults, what criteria is used to determine if an individual meets the adult disability requirements, how to find resources for prescriptions for individuals who don’t have medical coverage, how to apply for Medicaid for adults with disabilities, and related information.

Get (and Keep!) a Job 2nd Monday, September -December

Join Kelly Just of Barron County Job Center to learn more about how to find work, write your resume and cover letter, interview, and keep a job once you have it!

Working Adults-Go Back to School! 3rd Wednesday, September -December

Join Jim Dzimiela of Educational Opportunities Center as he helps you find out more about how to back to school, whether you qualify for and how to apply for financial assistance, and how to find the right program for you!
