Library Card and Loan Policies

Library Cards

Library cards are available for free to all Wisconsin residents.

Children under the age of 13 need a parent or guardian's signature.

All cards require proof of address; such as a driver's license, state ID, or utility bill showing name and address. If the patron is underage, their parent or guardian must provide their ID as proof of address.

Two sizes of cards are available: a regular wallet-sized card and a key tag-sized card. If you would like to have both versions of the card, there is a $1.00 fee. The first card is free.

If the card is broken, bring in the pieces and the librarian will replace it for free. If the card is lost or stolen, there is a $1.00 fee.

The Rice Lake Library card can be used at 40 other libraries throughout North Western Wisconsin in the Indianhead Federated Library System. Present your card for use at these libraries as you would at the Rice Lake Public Library.
