Collection Development Policy
|
Collection Development is the management of the library's collection. These activities include acquiring new material and discarding damaged or out of date items. The material is in a variety of formats: DVDs, CDs, books, etc.
Library managers supervise seperate library collections that fall under their expertise.

All collection development is guided by the Collection Development Policy and an assesment of community needs. Patron requests are considered seriously.

- FREE Computer Classes. March 8 - 12, 2010 Free Computer Classes: Mouse Basics, Computer Basics, Internet Basics, Word 2007, and Stump the Librarian! Sign up now to save your place. Visit or call 234-4861.
- Job Hunting Advice. March 16, 23, & 30 @ 2 pm. This series of information sessions will guide participants in job hunting, resumes, interview etiquette, and more! This event is FREE and everyone is welcome!
- Pageturners Book Club. April 1 @ 6 pm. Friendship Room. The book club will discuss the classic comedy Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns. It is a vivid portrait of small town life in the deep South at the turn of the century. Copies are available through the MORE system. No sign up necessary.
